The International, the new thriller from director Tom Tykwer, could be dismissed as an easy reaction to our current economic crisis. Clive Owen plays Interpol Agent Louis Salinger who has spent years trying to stop IBBC operations, an international bank that’s been a major money-laundering facility for organized crime and which is now branching out into arms trading.

Working with Salinger on the case is Eleanor Whitman (Naomi Watts) from the Manhattan District Attorney’s office. The tricky part about nailing IBBC is that whenever someone might actually come forward with damning evidence, that person end up dead or permanently missing. (Salinger left Scotland Yard years earlier after he couldn’t save the lives of his star witness and his family.)

The International is a movie that looked very promising but in the end fell flat. With all of that being said, personally, I enjoyed the movie. I thought Naomi Watts and Clive Owens were stellar in their roles and the suspenseful of the plot was enough to keep me guessing as to how it would end. From New York to Europe, the locals were just as much characters in the movie and each location its own flavor to the story. This might not be the fastest thriller out there but it is one of the smartest ones I’ve seen in a long time.

If you try these things, they can help people to avoid back pain, which is very common. Excercising, losing weight and maintaining good posture are important. Practice standing tall, with your head up and your shoulders back and sitting straight, but not slouching. Slouching is bad for the spine. It's also bad for blood circulation. So keep your back against the back of the chair, keep your feet flat on the floor and keep your knees slightly higher than your hips.

This exercise consist in write a short letter to Julia's mom, who is sad because of her daugther is studying far away...so!, here is the letter...

Dear mom!

How are you?

I'm really happy because of receive your letter! Sincerely, I'm missing you too, but I know that you and dad are good in home! Maybe dad seems kind of depressed cause' his football team lose few days ago, don't worry about it. Regarding my room, come on mom!...It was always in the same way because I just have my bed and the old T.V., anyway...I love it! thanks for take care of that!

I have new friends here, but I still miss my best friends. Pete Dove is that guy who was always complaining about me? It's good for him that finally is working with an accounting firm, but I don't like that kind of work. I cannot understand why is he living with his parents if he could pay an apartment, well...give him my greetings.

I found a part-time job here in the city, the salary is good and I'm learning too much about the activities. I've been saving money, so...I could visit you one time per month but believe me...I'm not thinking about come back to home I have new plans, and for now, everything is going very well...I love you mom!

In this exercise, we have to design leaflets to promote tourism in our country, I chose El Cielo Biosphere Reserve...so, here is my work!

El Cielo Biosphere Reserve, or Mexico's El Cielo Biosphere Park, is a place of great mystery and boundless surprises, it's a 356,442 acre reserve that spans four distinct ecological systems and ranges in elevation in the state of Tamaulipas.

The reserve is known for its spectacular cloud forest that serves as a rainwater catchment for the low tropical forest and commercial agricultural region to the east and southeast. El Cielo offers diverse habitat for animals and plants and provides rustic accommodations for ecotourists.

Phone and power lines don’t reach here, but the government has provided residents with high-tech solar panels that perch outside the mud-and-wattle, tin-roofed houses. Orange-flowering vines crown giant avocado trees in the downtown section of the village, which is actually an exceptional place to observe birds, along with burros and goats, amid the banana and guava trees and rock fences.

In Alta Cima, the Hotel El Pino offers cabins (11 rooms) with baths, for about 200 pesos ($14) per night, with coffee and fresh pan dulce delivered to your door every morning. A bare light bulb (solar powered) shines down on comfortable beds with plenty of blankets.

Finally, in this great plant life, wildlife in the area include the feared Mexican jaquar. Safety should be taken when venturing into the forest alone. El Cielo includes four distinct eco-systems: tropical jungle, mountain forest, pine-oak forest and dwarf oak and heath forest.

Hi again to everybody...in this exercise, we worked in groups in the classroom to select a person or an event from our country which could be honored with a national holiday...so, here is our work!

WORKOUT'S DAY

Reasons:

• Nowadays is very important the motivation to start workout because there are too many people who suffer obesity, anat-thyroid, cardiovascular, depression even pulmonary health problems.


• Celebrate this day could increase the number of people who want workout but need more motivation.


• The workout is for everybody, I mean...adults and kids, because currently the average of obesity doesn't respect ages or genres.


• This day could be celebrated in all the countries of the world.

Well, in this exercise...following the student's book instruction, all the classmates suggested ideas to write down a nice story about Thanksgiving Day using pictures and key words. So...here is the result...

In 1602, 101 emigrants came to the New World running away from religious persecution. They attacked Native Americans out of fear but when winter arrived hunting was made difficult and survivors to that harsh season could see those Native Americans were not as bad as they thought because they shared food and turkeys with them and since then American's have made this a National Celebration, which is a known as "Thanksgiving Day".
